The poetry of Louise, our mother, is from her collection of saved drafts written on scraps of paper. Some drafts contained scribbles of alternative wordings. Some scribbles reveal LWB’s process of playing with the wording and contemplated alternatives in the choice of words. We have included and noted significant variations in choices, because we cannot always tell her final selection. LWB did not keep many of the originals because she created most of her poetry to give as a gift or contribute to a good work. We will periodically add poems from her collection of poetry to this web log in her honor.
