Slowpoke

It’s never my intention

To always lag behind.

A lengthy short extension

Could boost my feeble mind.

I know of others I provoke

While I struggle to make haste.

Guess I’m just a fast slowpoke

With no time to waste.

To change my disposition

Might induce immense frustration.

And bring a swift transition

Upon my frail creation.

Now should I get a calling

That beckons me to woe.

You can bet I want be stalling

I’ll command my slow to go!
